So ive had 2 female dwarf puffers in my community tank for about 5/6 weeks now and they are doing fine, feeding well and getting on with others great. Ive heard puffers are really aggressive but they seem to be getting on fine with all my other fish, honestly not one sign of aggression or any deaths. Should i still be suspicious?

i added 2 to my comunity tank when i first set it up, by the morning almost all of my other fish had theres fins and tails ripped to bits

If they stay that way then you are very very lucky

Females are "usually" slightly less aggressive than males.

They don't always attack other fish in early days. Many people have them in their community tanks for weeks and months without problems and all of a sudden damaged fins start appearing (rarely bad enough to cause fish death but they could get into a deadly fight between themselves though).

They are unpredictable and temperamental. However, you do get the odd well behaved ones. From experience, I find that their behaviour change considerably depending on who their tank mates are.

Hope you are one of the few lucky people who have aquaired some timid cute little puffs ^_^

I must agree with isnail. I've had puffers live peacefully with other fish for months and then all of a sudden decide to chow down on their tank mates, and their beaks can do some real damage. Again, you may have lucked out and obtained some of the exceptions. I would definitely keep an eye on them though. :good:

i know lots of people have had problems with their dwarf puffers, however i have 3 in my community tank and they have always been fine, no aggression at all, except amonst themselves and feeding time, and this is just a chase.

However isnail etc have kept them much longer and had many more so i would follow their advice.
