Strange Creature

I was cleaning my builtin filter last night where i found a couple of fry still alive and a dead bunch but to my surprise there was a couple of strange creatures in there too munching on the dead fry, they are green in color, bulky head and a thin straight body (a little less than 1 inch) has a scissor like tail and eight legs its like a plant insect or something

where could these things have come from??(maybe my plants ) what are they?? has anyone seen such a thing??

NO unfortunatly i dont, both of my camera's are out for the weekend, one with the daughter and the other with the wife

It sounds like some sort of larvae although insects would only have 6 legs...Some larve have so many hair-like projections or spikes for protection though that they seem like they could be legs.

I love entomology. When you get a pic, let us see...

Hi Newbi Bob The creature sounds like a damselfly larvea does it have 3 spikes at the end of it's tail the are carnivorous and will fish about half there size probly arived with your plants found one in with my ram fry my golden killie enjoyed him you know the saying you want to play got to pay he played with my fry so he had to pay LMAO Sincerely Curtis
