I am very new to Betta's. My boy is acting strange, not sure if i should be worried or not.

I feed him in the morning 5 betta bites and blood worms (He only gets these once a week). But when i get home at night and check on him he races to the front of the cage, swimming frantically and opening his mouth as if to say feed me! He also looks fairly pale, but is normally full of colour when i leave for work. (I had not noticed the paleness before until i went to visit my boyfriend on the weekend, leaving him on his own) I am wondering weather i am feeding him enough? I am fairly paranoid about over feeding him

When i got back on sunday night it also looked like he had a few tiny white lint on this fins, very few could hardly notice it. I did a full water change in his tank (5gal, no tank mates) and there are no sings of it now, but was wondering weather I should treat him for fungus just incase? I do not want to medicate him if it is not necessary

Thanks in advance!!

Sounds pretty normal, I feed my bettas 5 pellets a day as well. They're just little beggers is all
You mention that he does this when you come home at night, so I imagine the paleness is due to this... some of my boys gets pale when they sleep and it takes them a little while to colour up in the morning.

As for the "lint", if there's no sign of it now I wouldn't treat him for anything just yet... putting a pinch of aquarium salt in his water wouldn't hurt, though. Just keep a close eye on him to make sure it doesn't reappear

Yep, Bettas always act starved, even if you've fed them 5 minutes ago. If you've a social betta, it's also not unusual for them to come racing over to great you when you show up. I personally find that charming. :D
