I have 4 in my African tank… behavior looks almost spawning, but the fish are not paired ( like maybe a group spawner ) but singles are going into the caves ( they are open water swimmers ), and shimmying like they are laying or fertilizing eggs, but no eggs or milt visible… one was doing it yesterday, and quit at feeding time, and I’m noticing 2 doing it this morning, each in a different cave… it’s kind of hard to tell if they are egg layden, as they are like most catfish, and are pigs, when it comes time to eat… as they are just maturing, I’m hoping, they are just figuring it out, and that I don’t have some underlying water issue… paranoid you know, when everything seems to be going well… the balance of the fish are all acting normal…

It seems to be mostly one fish, as the other one joined the group, about an hour after 1st light.. this one does have a big belly, so maybe a newly, with eggs, female… but the rest aren’t chasing her around???
