Wondering if anyone could help?

My Guppy is pregnant. Question is when is she going to drop her fry? Shes looking very square and why is the male keep chasing her around when there's another female in the thank

I've attached a small video to give you a idea of what the males are doing to the female

What is your M:F ratio? If you only have one other female then you should really think about having more. You need to have more females than males to cut down on the stress to the females.
Hard to tell from the video but if shes squared off then it shouldnt be long.

The Ratio was 3 males to 3 females. Unfortnately one female died so I've now got 2 females and 3 males. Strange thing is they don't seem to be doing near the other female. they just keep hassling this one.

I've got some fry females. That I will be releasing into the main tank soon.

But why do they keep chasing this one? there's another female in the tank they don't want to know.

The males are chasing her so that they can eat the fry (which may have been fathered by a rival male, at least in their natural enviroment) and mate with her themselves immediately afterwards. Many, many male wild animals do this to ensure the next litter is theirs.

Thats a interesting fact. I would be interested to find a way of a female guppy dropping her fry without being eaten by other fish in such a big tank. So hard to even see them with all the plants in the tank

Put her in a breeding trap she will be stressed out.

I Understand that but sometimes its the only way to save the fry

Do you have a guaranteed method of disposing of the fry? Not many LFS will take homebred fish, those that do rarely give out any form of payment, because they know they are doing you the favour, not the other way round.

If not, perhaps it's best to let Mother Nature "dispose" of them for you?

Just to let you know guys. One of the Female Guppys has dropped 1 Fry! is it likely to drop in the next few days?

I am probably too late with this but your female will often drop all fry in just a very few hours.
