dont rearly know were to put this post but thought it went best here.well im getting a betta soon and i was goin to get a 5 gal for him but then i seen a 10 gal and ive got space for it,and it is at a resonable price.

so down to the real question,as i said im getting a betta but as its a ten gal thought i could put a couple of peaceful fish in there,i have 1 cory in my community tank thats all alone as i lost his 2 friends a few months ago so i thought i could put him in there and get 2 more corys in with him.

im doing the inch per gallon so that leaves me with 1 inch,as the corys get about 2 inches each so thats 6 and the betta gets about 3 inches so thats 9 inches.so i was thinking a siamese algea eater but they get 6 inches so thats 15 inches, but as this tank will have a good filter in there i thought maybe it will be ok,but wat do you think ? is it a deff no no or will it be just alryt, the algea eater will not be 6 inches when i get him/her,prob 2 inches at the most when i do get it.il leave it up to you guys as you know better then me lol,any info would be great thx. :D

I would stay away from the siamese algae eater. if you want something to help keep algae at bay in a tank that small, try snails or an Otto or two. do be careful with the Ottos though as they're very sensitive, almoast so much so as neons/cardinals and therefore require a very mature, stable, and of course cycled tank

o yes i have never thought of them, thats all i rearly want in there is a little clean up crew and nothing that is going to disturb my betta.thx
