Hi All,

Greatly appreciate some help as the LFS suggested around 20-30 fish for a 90 litre (Aqua One AR620) but sounds like a lot of fish for the filter to handle adequately. The tank has now been running for just under 3 weeks and have added 4 Danios's to help with the cycling process at about one and half weeks. The tank is partly planted (low-light set-up with Eco-Complete substrate) and therefore wanted some ideas of stock levels, suggestion and thoughts below but not so sure on which fish combination and numbers:

4 x Danio
? x Cories
6 x Neons
? x Cheery Barb
2 x Dawf Cichlids (Bolivian Rams)
? x Clown Loaches
? x Suggested best algae eater
? x Other interesting fish

Plan is to introduce some more fish this weekend (All levels are normal :D ) and hence which ones would be best?

Thanks in advance for the help

Cheers

20 - 30 is alot for that size tank my plan is to have around 38 in a tank double the size of yours.

Since you already have danios get more until you have about 6, then maybe 10 neons, Corydoras hastatus about 8, otocinclus around 5 and 2 Bolivian Rams. That is all I would stock in a tank that size. Clown loaches grow 40cm long and are not suitable. Your interesting fish will probably be your bolivian rams.

You should only add a few fish at a time so the filter can catch up. Double what you have so, 4 danios. Then maybe some neons, then more neons, then the cories, then the otos, then the rams.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion and glad to hear that 20-30 fish would far too many in a tank of this size. So will go with your suggestions and start off by topping up the number of Danios and then go onto getting some neon's etc over the next couple of weeks and get the stock levels slowly so that the filter can cope.

Cheers for the advice.
