hello,
I have a 5x2x2 tank which currantly houses 2 tin foil barbs, two gold foil barbs, 5 large silver dollars and two frontosa's along with a few small variety plecs and cats. My question is, will angel's be ok with this mix as i have been offered a few largish angels to rehome for a mate and hope i can accomodate.
The tank has a lot of free space with very little in the way of ornaments. It runs with two tetra tec external filters (1200 & 700) and i have no problems with the water quality. The tank is a mature set up.
please leave your veiws or personal experiences,

Hi nath
IMO it would depend on the temperament of the Frontosa you have,
ultimately if the angels are currently bigger than the frontosa then i would give it a try,

The front's are about an inch smaller than the angels and I have found them to be a slow growing fish.
Thanks for your reply,
Nath1

Forgot to add that there are two senegal birchirs in the mix!!
Will these cause a problem? They seem to be fine with the fish in there and the Frontosa's agression is minimal only occasionally towards each other.
Thanks,
Nath1

Thanks mate!
Im sure they will better off with me than given to a pet shop or worse still the dreaded flush

This is not really a CC&A question, but then again, is it NW or OW Cichlids, or Oddballs, (Birchirs!). I'll move it to NW for the sake of the angels and see if you get any further info there!

Got the angels today and soo far they seem fine. I was also given a clown loach, about 5 ", an apple snail and what i think is a clown plec who is about 2 ".
Will keep a close eye on all the fish over the next couple of days and will treat the tank for white spot, maybe tomorrow just incase.
I guess in the future I may also have too buy a couple of friends for the loach!!
