Stocking Question

Hi,

I have a 50ltr Rena tank which at the moment houses 2 peppered corys, 1 albino cory, 1 bronze cory, 4 neon tetras, 2 male guppys and 1 peppered cory fry (when he is large enough he will be going to my friends tank).

The question I have is would adding 2 male guppies be ok? someone I know wants to get rid of them.

My water stats are

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate is over 80 (levels have always been high as tap water reading is 40) I am in the process of adding more live plants to try and combat this.

I do weekly 25% water changes.

Have had the tank running for about 4 years now.

any advice welcome

Thats gunna put you way overstocked.

I think you might be a bit over stocked, but I would try it. Just keep your water changes up and get some more plants in there ASAP.

Overstocked or not, your guppies will be happier in a group of 4+ and your neons in a school of 6+
