i have a 96 litre tank, i was thinking about stocking with 5 zebra danios, 5 guppys 2*male 3*female, 8 cardinal tetras, 4 or 5 panda cory's and was hoping to get some pentazona barbs in there what does everyone think of that?

should be ok throw in some dwarf gourami if you can fit them in :p but its personal opinion so whatever you are happy with is the right choice.

btw dont forget the 1" per gallon rule

ok i quite fancy that set up, just unsure about overstocking. thanks

your tank is about 21 gallons so that means 21" of fish. find out what fish you want and how big they grow in inches and add them up that will give you a rough idea of what you can have in there.

Please keep in mind that the 1" per gallon isn't a rule, its a general guideline and only applies to fish that remain small and thin, such as some tetras and guppies. Surely you wouldn't put a 20" pacu in a 20g tank, and yet it falls within the aforementioned "rule." In addition, you need to take into account their preferences such as swimming space and other behaviors.
