I hope my topic title and decription are ok, I can never think of what I want to say. :/

I have a 29gal bowfront tank (same foot print as a 20 long, just deeper, and bowed of course), that currently is a yellow lab species tank. I'm going to be moving the labs to a 75gal and I would like to put tetras in the 29gal. I've been to the pet store and I like the lamp eye tetras, head and tail light tetras, and the orange von rio tetras (sorry, I don't know the scientific names). I'd like to have two schools of 6, along with a rubber lip pleco. Which two tetras would you put together? I'd like the best combination to off set each other. And what else could I put in the tank with them. It'll be heavily planted with silk plants, I'm not quite ready to try real ones yet. And I'm used to overstocking, I don't want to crowd the fish, just let you know that I'm used to lots of water changes and heavy filtering beacause of the cichlids. As for filters, I'll have a fluval 204 w/180gph. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Dawn.

Here are "some" of your options:
- shoal of black skirt tetras
- shoal of cardinal tetras
- shoal of lemon tetras (not as colorful though but a fish with a lot of personality
- shoal of neon tetras
- shoal of roberti's tetras

These are a few options. Look into the tff fish index and find something you like.

My other half has got silver tip tetra's I think they look fantastic in a shoal. And I don't think you can ever get away from good old fashiones neons either - the 2 shoals would give you quite good colour contrast as well IMO
