Hi, stocking was always pretty easy in my freshwater but i havent seen any rules of thumb for my saltwater as yet. The dimensions are 48" 12" 15" and current inhabbitants are;

1 Blenny Scooter
2 Clowns
1 Royal Grammar
2 Dancing Shrimp
1 Cleaner Shrimp

And obviously various hermits and snails. I am assuming this is not yet overstocked but would like to know what there is room for now. I am not adding anymore now for a while but just need to know, thx in advance.

Interesting, I calculate that at about 37 gallons which is somewhat of an oddball tank size :). Good news is that you're under-stocked and can add more fish. Consider gobies, fairy wrasses, and dwarf angels :good:

Thx Ski, you have been of great help a number of times now and it's much appreciated.

It is a strange size in gallons I dont think I have heard anyone else speaking of their 37gal.

I was kind of hoping for my next addition of fish to be a schooling fish so I could add a few and have them as a feature point of the tank. I know adding another 4 or so fish will probably bring me at least very close to my limit so do tou have any suggestions? I was looking at Yellow tailed blue damsels or some kind of cardinal (not too sure about the tank for these tho). Any other suggestions welcome tho. Thx.

Eeek, no damsels. Spawn of satan bullies. Bout the only appropriate schooling fish are chromis or cardinals. And a small school of those will put you at your stocking limit :)

Maybe somebody else knows of something more suitable but alas I do not
