I'm building a pond inmy garden, because of a man hole which I forgot about I can only make it 72 x 71x 36

I have no experience of ponds so have no idea what I could stock in here

I'm pretty sure koi are a no go with this pond so I guess just goldfish, comets and shubunkins?

Yeah its only large enough for goldfish just just stock it with slim-bodied goldfish like Comet and Common goldfish :) . Depending on how steep the slopes of the pond are and what shape it is etc, i would estimate that its about 500-700 US gallons- its important that you attempt to accurately calculate the exact gallons of the pond though, as these will be a good guide to how many goldfish you can put into the pond. Is the pond filtered at all?

its not actually made yet as I'm flagging the rest of the garden. I have dug a 72 X 71 inch hole about 12 inches deep for now. My plan was to get that level maybe a bit deeper, dig a footing round the perimeter and then brick up maybe 30 inch high. I'm not sure whether to use one brick deep or two. two will reduce size of pond but i need to make sure safe.

When wallbuilt round I'll get a liner. I will be getting a filter . It will be one in the pond probably

I have a fair bit of planning to do as you can see!!! lol
