I just want to check my stocking idea and see what people think (e.g. if I'm over stocked)

The tank is- 40Lx15Hx12D and set at 24C with a fluval U4 filter (I'm not sure how much the filter will affect the stocking) and I'm also working on building up the plants- there arn't many at the moment but I hope to get it reasonably well planted as I add the fish. I'm also going to change to snad before i get any corries.

What i have at the moment-

6x Black Ruby Barbs (these guys always look embarrised because they haven't coloured up properly yet ;p )
2x Platties 1m 1f
1x Guppy 1m (the only surviver of a still unknown disease that wiped out my entire guppy population)
1x Betta Splendens 1m

What else I wanted to add-

6x Bronze Cory Cats
6x Venny Cory Cats
10x Bleeding Heart Tetras

So my questions-

Would I be overstocked, just right or would I still have room left?
Are there any mixtures here that probably won't work and any sugestions to how to change it?
Is 24C the best temperature to keep them at still?
Has any one kept Bleeding Hearts before or know how nippy they are/other experience with them?

It hink thats everything ;p but if you have anything else I need to know please do

Are the Betta and Guppy getting along ok at the moment? Bettas often mistake male Guppies for another Betta, and therefore attack.

yeah the bettas a softie :D I got lucky with him really (I did have a back up plan when i put him in incase he didn't get along) I supose it helps that the betta is bright blue and pink and then the guppy is black with a lava edge- I've heard that they're less likly to attack things that are a completly differant colour (not sure how true that is?)
Sir Spock (betta; I'm terrible at naming fish) happily swims along side the guppy though.
