I have a mature 200l tank still running but empty of everything but gravel. I am contemplating a set up for me, but at a loss where to start. My last "blank canvas" tanks have been a 180l dwarf cichlid set up and a 240l angel set up. I want something different.

Fish I already have:
Severums (red rotkeil belem)
oscars
Aequidenes pulcher, tetremurus, metae
festivums
true parrots
chocolate
JD
Krobia xingu
Various plecs
catfish: Black collared cat, pictus, blochii, two spot bagrids.
Dwarfs: Keyhole, red breasted acara, curviceps, apisto cac & baenchii
eartheaters: stanopercia daemon & jurupari
Dithers: glowlights & rummy nose (in with the dwarfs)

Not interested in rams, for some reason I just cannot keep these no matter how mature the tank is :( any idea's welcome.

striped dora catfish are cool
what about juwle chiclids :)

Naaa had jewels, not my thing.

Salvini hmmmm do like those.

Flowerhorn, nor my thing eiher really, had GT also

Oi... How about something different like a group of inka stone fish? Maybe add a shoal of tetras...

Nanochromis Transvestitus? Do a tank around them - could add a few Egyptian Mouth Brooders and maybe African Butterfly Cichlids. Get some small Synos, Loaches would work. Some nice barbs - Black Ruby are nice :)

Nicaraguans?

Wills

liking the suggestions :)

Josh, I had a group of 6 texas once, beautiful fish :good:

How about that

Or that. Obviously a female of the above would be favourable as they max out at 1 foot. Males grow larger but if you can find more room ??

Oh Jake if only I had the room for the Vieja Argentea, I have come close to buying myself one for a while, that or a jag, but this tank isnt really big enough :(

That's a real shame. I had you down for a vieja admirer so I knew you'd like those two ;), I wish I had room too because I'd love to have rarer ( larger specimens) inmy collection too. These are serious fish aren't they lol

My hubby likes the argentea too, he calls it a white texas lol, He did like my texas group, I could possibly get away with a single texas, but I already have the oscars as "wet pets" I dont think he would be best pleased with another tank for a single fish :(, unless I find another aquidenes diadema then he aint got a choice lol lol
