Just setup my new 120g I'm so excited. :D

I've got the two filters like so and hope this was a good way to set it up. If not I've got extra tubing to change it around.

It's actually two 2217s. :)

So far I'm focusing things around the 6 angels I already have. I've also got 2 bolivian rams (should I get more??).

I was thinking a big group of tetras. Anything besides neons/cardinals. Suggestions??

I'm also going to do a big group of cories (Trili). :) And I've already got some plecos...

x6 Angels
x2 Bolivian Rams
x20 Trili Cories
x30 ?? Tetra
x1 Common Plec
x1 Bristlenose Plec
x1 Bulldog Plec

Would also like to hear peoples thoughts on how they would go about decorating it.

Any suggestions? :hey:

Pics now! Oh and whats the dimensions?

I think that you should moderately plant the tank with a sand substrate, river rocks, various stones and a nice piece of driftwood with some flame moss growing off of it

If it were me, I'd do what fishy friend did and the stock would would be like this:

x6 Angels
x2 Bolivian Rams
x20 Trili Cories
x30 Cardinal Tetras
x1 Bristlenose Plec
x1 Bulldog Plec
x20 Lemon/White Tip/Black Phantom Tetras (take your pick: or even better, all of them :hyper: )
x20 Emperor Tetras

Unless your going for an amazon biotope, maybe some gouramis? Pearl or Moonlights are gorgeous. You could also have a school of clown loaches

In a tank with 20 cories? :sly: There'd be competition for the bottom.
This is like the third topic where I've suggested a stocking and some wise guy perks up and says "No kuhli loaches? Who are you and what have you done to Crossfire!"

:sly: :sly: :sly: :sly:

LOL, If I had the tank I would do a full SA/CA cichlid tank but thats just me Lol.
I would of also considered getting about 40 kuhlis though.

But I got to admit a school of 10+ kuhlis would look nice in a planted tank, and with that mixture of fish

duh
Tell me when and where a school of kuhlis wouldn't look good?

BTW I finally have permission to get two more loaches! :hyper: Even though the 'rents aren't to enthralled :shifty: I even have names! Luna for the girl and either Luke or Loki for the boy

About a 100 would do nicely. Scrap all the other fish. Do like 200 loaches and like one angelfish  Crossfire approves :hey:

Lol, srosfire you are convincing me to get some kuhlis for my 15 gallon that only has 3 platies and a Betta........ "must resist" " must resist" oops looks like tommorow I'm gonna get some loaches! Woooooop wooooooop

Sorry to the OP, but I couldn't resist. Sorry for hijacking your post

Well.... all I can say is LOL

I actually have 5 kuhlis... I would like to get more but I'm a little disappointed by the fact that I NEVER see them. :( Even when I had 8 they were always hiding... and yes I think that would compete too much for bottom what with cories and plecs. And I do love my cories. :fun:

I've already got the sand in... just some crappy decorations for now to make the fish feel safe until I can go out shopping. I wasn't going to plant it just because there is about 5 different plants in my whole entire town and shopping online is just really expensive for Canadians (no one likes us). I might do some real like moss or crypts mixed in.. not sure yet. Something very low tech of course.

Unfortunately it's -30C every day so I'm going to have to wait for spring (another 2~3 months) to get more play sand as I'll have to rinse it outside. Right now there is only a very thin layer of what I had in a 75g.

Dimensions 60x18x26.

I was thinking huge school of harlequin rasbora then maybe something else. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
