I have a 75 gallon tank

1 Texas cichlid
4 OB peacock African cichlids
1 yellow lab cichlid
1 female convict
1 white cichlid
1 German blue and yellow cichlid
1 strawberry sunburst cichlid
1 pleco

so far so good. Is that too much ? Not enough ?

1. Let's see a picture!

2. I would add some bottom feeders or inverts of some kind

Not good :(

Texas cichlid grows about 10 inches and kills stuff.
Convicts grow to about 4-6 inches and can get grumpy.
Both come from Central America and requires a pH around 7.0 and GH around 150-200ppm.

OB peacocks and yellow labs come from Lake Malawi in Africa and require water with a GH above 300ppm and a pH above 7.6

Need pictures of the other fish to ID them, but German blue and yellow is probably a blue ram and they are from South America, (pH below 7.0, GH below 100ppm) only grow to 2 inches and will get killed by everything else in the tank.

Do you have driftwood and algae in the tank for the pleco?

It is a yellow tail acei

acei is from lake Malawi and needs hard water with a high pH
I appreciate all the answers. I have reasearch a little on both sides. In the end, I have decided to do the mixed tank. I’ve learned it’s a big debate lol but, so far it’s working for me. That may change. It remains to be seen.
