Stingrays

Hi there, I have recently acquired a 7foot x 2foot x 2foot tank which I intend to filter with Eheim 2078 professional 3e electronic external filters over filtering the tank (they do 700 litres each supposedly)

I have read the brilliant pinned topic on stingrays and I was wondering if in this tank it would be alright to keep some of the smaller species of stingray.

But doesn't it just matter about surface area of the bottom?? Not sure...

stingrays can come up and swim around too. they don't just stay at the bottom. and there real complex, so be prepared when you have to take care of one.

I don't plan to keep them ever but thanks for clearing that up!

im pretty sure only p.scobina can be kept in tanks that are 24" wide as they only grow to 12" disc

Cheers for that guys, I think i'll probably give rays a miss as I don't want them to be unhappy in too smaller tank.
