Has anyone every put cichlids and stingrays together or no anyone who has ?

Well, Stingrays certainly wont do well with African cichlids. as waters are different and africans need lots of rocks where as the stingrays need almost nothing on the floor of the aquarium.

Where as New world cichlids will mix. things like Jags, Dempseys, GT's Etc. theres many to list. check out the fish index for the new worlds and see what you like then just ask :), also, what size tank were you looking at putting the rays in. you could also have arowanas and many other oddballs.

Wow, id love to see some pics of your hystrix although i doubt there hystrix as there banned to be taken from brazil.. so they will have to be Captive bred and you must have pair lots.

i would suggest removing the plec as plecs with rays dont mix the plec will stick on it with out knowing. Also i think you could add 5 frontosas. they will make nice mates.

Yes, he could one day suck on your ray, leaving a bad ulcer on your ray the ray is most likely to turn around and get out his stinger and probably kill the plec. but you never know he may never do that.

can i see pics of your ray please?
