Fish Crazy
I am cycling a new 75 gallon tank fishless. I originally just added amonia every day, then after 10 days I added bacteria starter and then I added a filter sponge from my current tank. Still adding amonia. It has been 2 weeks and 4 days and I consistently have a reading of 6ppm amonia and 0 nitrite.
Is there anything I can so to help speed this cycle up? Maybe a better question is, will it eventually cycle?
I have never done a fishless cycle before so this is new to me. I have heard so many people say how quickly their tank cycled and I wanted to see if there are other folks whose tank took a long time to cycle fishless.
I am patient, but am concerned nothing is happening in there. Would it help if I turned up the heater or turned off the filters?
Thanks.
