my guppy had some fry yesterday and after keeping a close eye on her she hasnt had no more but still looks very pregnant and still a big, dark gravid patch i have now took her out the trap as she ate all the fry as they some how ascaped, she isnt hiding and isnt acting strange. do you think she may have some fry still in?

No she doesn't have anymore fry in her, I'm sure. Female platys when they get pregnant they never go thin again, And they'll have they're gravid spot even though they're not pregnant. Mine is like that and she gave birth about 2 weeks ago. It's very normal. Hope this helped

Acutally yes its possible, guppies have been known to drop thier fry over a period of a week, dropping small amounts everyday, although u dont want to keep the guppy in the trap for no more than 48 hours.

just saying..
my guppys had their fry and still look pregnant
but they've had all their fry. i think its just cos there bellys have been stretched. and they still have their gravid spots when their not pregnant. its normal.
5teady, for my guppies, it dont matter if there in the trap for longer than 48hours. mine are completely fine and they ended up having their fry.
so its cool (Y)
xo

sometimes you will see little difference in the size of her because as she gives birth the next lot of eggs will be released and start to grow, in my experience most females have a gravid spot whether or not they are pregnant, all my juvi females have it and haven't been near a male, in approx 4 weeks you should expect another lot of fry
