Sticky Thermometers

RE my other posts, i now have fish in a bucket!

I am worried about the temp of the water. The only thermometers i have are the sticky on the tank ones. Can i put these under water?! I want to take one off one of my tanks, and put it IN the bucket to get an idea of temp.... dont think my spare heater is that spot on!

haha, not that it matters, i tried to peal off the them. off my QT and it clearly didnt work as the packaging said it would haha

I tried that too. Once I realised it wouldn't peel off I tried scraping it with a razor blade. All that accomplished was shredding it and thus making it completely useless!

I don't trust the sticky ones, I always think they're wrong.

I've got 2 sticky ones on a 90L and a digital one that sits inside the tank, reef one i think it's called?
The 2 sticky ones are right next to each other on the corner of the tank
and both always say different temps from each other & the digital one!

I don't trust the ticky ones either but all my tanks are second hand and already had them. I have the traditional type thermometer that's inside the tank too and surprise, surprise they both read diferent temperatures. I go with the internal reading!

haha, well, maybe when i go to buy my replacement QT i will invest in a couple new ones

I've always fancied a digital thermometer but I've never actually got round to finding a decent one that I could trust.
