Hello all,

Just a quick question about Sterbai Corys.

How much would you expect to pay for one in the UK?

i got talking with the owner of the local aquatic club about corys and how ace they were and he told me they got in 10 Sterbai Cory which were labled wrong. The supplier said they were something else and once they did some reserch into it they found out it was actully Sterbai Cory and not whatever it was and that they should have been charged 3x the amount for them :S but the owner has priced them at £5 each and he says i wont get them any cheaper than £12 anywhere else... that sound right?

Kev

we sell them at £7.95 each

wow i thought mine were expensive at £3.99 each another shop has them in at £4.55 each i just thought the other shop was really expensive lol wish i'd got more of them now.
in fact mite just get some more if there is still any there when my tanks have cycled note the 1's i've got are in a cycled tank :D :D

My lfs has some gorgeous specimens at £10 each on a fairly regular basis . You can get them for less, but they are general a lot smaller. It also depends on whether they are wild caught and tank bred - from what I've seen.

Hi,

Tri-mar sells them 3 for a tenner i paid £3.95 for one of mine and £4.99 for another, i had one that i paid £14 for, the expensive one was a much stronger colour and so probably wild caught it died after about a month, it was a big on though so may have been quite old.

i got mine from trimar,3 for £10.fantastic fish.have mine in with discus and rainbows.

i had 5 (down to 3 now)

4 were £4.99 each (juvs - about 3/4 inch long) 1 was an adult and i paid £25.

she's georgous though so cant complain, really bright markings

My LFS sells small ones for £4.95 each or 2 for £9. They gave me 3 for nothing when my first 4 long finned WCMM died in 3 days, not a bad deal really £14 worth of fish for the £5 worth that died. Unfortunatly one died a few days after getting them. Bought 2 large ones today for £9 the guy said they should be more, but as the 2 last small ones they had didn't look well. Its great when you get a good deal :D
