right. now ive decided my oscars need to go (going to ring lfs today) because all the do is sulk all the time and dont have the same character as ozzy my old tiger oscar, ive decided that thier tank is going to house cichlids, now i have at the moment goat a pair of kribs that are living in a partitioned off part of the oscar tank as the male krib decided that he likes male guppies tails , so really im after some input on what sort of cichlids i could put in that are ok with the kribs and are about the same size as i like that look, also are the common plecs ok in with cichlids as my lfs have some beauts in? or am i best going with bristlenoses

First off what tank size are we talking aobut here. You mention you have oscars so i'm assuming its a 55g+ that we have to play with here.

Generally speaking common plecs are fine with cichlids. They go hand in hand in the wild and i'm sure every fish keeper near enough has kept cichlids with plecs at one point or another.

You have to decide if you'd like to have cichlids that get on with fish such as tetras and barbs, or if you want to try your hand at slightly larger more pugnacious cichlids that can sometimes be mixed with them and other times not.

oops sorry the tank is 340L there will bve lots of rocky caves and the substrate is sand, i dont really want to get into the bigger cichlids prefer the dwarfs was looking at some cockatoos yesterday they are stunning
