As I've had a little mishap and have ended up with 3 turbo snails, and as I have been wanting to start a saltwater tank for some time now, I'm going to set up a 10 gallon tomorrow. I don't want to put any fish in it quite yet. I'll be moving in a few months and I don't want to have to worry about transporting any extra fish. I've already got plenty of mollies, guppies, platies and cories (including 40+ fry) to move from Savannah, GA to New Orleans, LA in August. That will be tough enough.

So, I guess this post is just to ask for general advice and opinions that any of you much more experienced people have to offer me. I'm sticking with just the snails for now. How long should the tank be set up before I add the snails to it? What should I put in the tank as far as plants, decor, etc. I'd appreciate any help I can get. I'm about to start reading up on all this now. Thanks!

Scrap that...after reading a bit, I don't think that I can handle a saltwater tank at this time. I'm just going to take care of the snails until I can find a new home for them.

Agreed...too much work for now. Post back after your move and we'll all kick in a hand to get you up and running. SH
