Hey buddy, good job on geting it started
once you get into planted its hard really to keep away, because everyday is an adventure and new and exciting things happen... and u go broke lol. You'll find that theres alot more to this whole planted tank thing then some nutrients out of a bottle and lighting. You gotta do your research and do alot of it because when your plants start dying and you have no idea.. or they go brown.. and you dont know why you'd wish you woulda saved that 40$ that you spent on those plants on better lighting or better substrate. It takes alot of work to get where alot of us are, even myself i'm still experimenting. I'm in a battle with my co2 mixture and getting sick of doing the DIY and looking to upgrade to pressurized that i have been thinking about for months and months.. but it all come down to money.

Now i got you confused about ths.. pressurized haha.

Just take it slow and do your reading.

Areas to focus on are:
Nutrients
Co2
Lighting

Very important part of keeping plants happy are keeping them healthy so read up and enjoy. :)

i would suggest a centerpiece like a peice of driftwood right dab in the middle

Some good advice from nicklfire there :) What look you going for here? as you have it now I think it would lend itself well to being an amazionia/magrove root type setup. I like the slightly less well lit areas at the left and right, it makes it look like you're 10m under water swimming between some tree roots, very cool.

Keep us posted :)

Thanks for the advice and complements! I am looking to go for an amazonian them!! Soo happy you notice it! Im got some new wood today that is going in the middle and im going to tie a giant java fern to it. What do you think?? Im about of get rid of the black skirt teras and get some cardinals to make my tank look bigger but not sure yet.
Im doing a DIY CO2 mixture for my nutrafin kit it is kind of a pain.

Welcome to the planted side like nicklfire research is the key, have a look at the pinned topics at the top, they will give you a good insite and hopefully stear you in the right direction.

What size tank do you have.

Its a 30 gallon tank
I added a stunp in the middle of the tank and a peice of bogwood behind it will take some pics later

Some say welcome to the dark side, but I like to say welcome to the Green side! Now, I will stop the cheese. A great thing to do is to read the pinned topics we've got up hear. In addition, never be afraid to ask questions. Look forward to seeing your new pictures.

:)

LOL. :D I just went on a family trip 2 Florida and left my tank to my father to take care of. I just wondering what its going to look like when I get back!!
