started a pond

in the process of putting in a 40 gallon pond here is what i have started doing today.

I have never seen such an intricate molded pond before....I bet it is going to look awesome!~

gold fish I guess, not really sure, asking for help suggestions here. it is actually 2 pieces,the small bowls, that is the water fall. The wife let me do it after I showed her the pond plants she would be able to put in it, she loves her plants..LOL

you can see some of the plants ready for planting LOL
the big basin is either 35 or 40 gallons didnt get a straight answer from the guy, and the water fall poertion is either 5 or 10 gallons so I am looking at 40 to 50 gallons of water here, I had to dig out underneath the basin man I forgot how much manual labor sucked

im not sure about koi... they get big... but you could always trade the big ones back for smallers ones

goldfish are cool too ..

I wanted Koi at first but after reading up on them it would not be fair to them for being in a small pond. I am thing fantails or moores
