I always thought that my BN would never get more than 5-6 inches, until I saw the pcitures of Brocolli that Sir Minion posted.

Is the Starlight BN different from a "normal" BN?

If so how do you distinguish between the two?

EDIT

Having had a good look at planetcatfish, I think mine's a common.

Yes they are very different indeed. SirM, correct me if I'm wrong, but is Brocolli a L182 or L183 (or L180) ? They get quite a lot bigger than common bristlenoses - have huge eyes and a darker body with fine white spots - quite different from the common BN !
I have a male and female - bought as L183, though I'm not 100% certain yet, though younger and less developed than Brocolli.
Tried to identify them in this thread.
They are lovely fish though

Sir is not sure what bristle nose he is but has called him a starlight due to the fact that thats what it most resemples - He is not incicative of the size a true starlight will get to.. :)

L180's and L183's get to about 5" as do ''most'' commonly found ancistrus.
