We moved last September and I downsized from a 55 gallon to a 20 gallon. I am deeply regretting that decision so I am wanting to upsize to maybe a 39 gallon. The problem is trying to find a quality stand for a tank. I purchased my 20 gallon from Pet Smart and the stand for it was by Top Fin. I had to put all kinds of reinforcing braces on it before I trusted it to hold the 20 gallon. It was particle board and just seemed so flimsy. When I had my 55 gallon the stand was solid wood and very sturdy. I have been searching on several websites and have had no luck. I have no problem paying more for a sturdy stand. Can anyone recommend any websites selling good stands or a brand that they particularly like? It would be much appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

can you make your own?
you could build a double tier stand and have a big tank on top and the smaller one underneath it.

perhaps look for a cabinet maker in your area and get them to make a stand for you.

Hello, welcome to the forum.

A good idea is to search around yard sales and check the sides of the road in your neighborhood, I've found a lot of sturdy tables and dressers that way.

You also get bed bugs that way.

Hi
Make sure the stand can support about 250 kg ( 500 pounds )

39 gallons of water = 150kg ( 300 pounds )
Plus over 20kg substrate
Rocks and wood ???

Thanks everyone. I found one on Amazon made of wood and metal. It got good reviews. I’m waiting for it to be delivered. Great price also.
