My eheim filter is producing a squeaking noise and after half an hour of fiddleing with the canister I have found it is the spray bar. It must be due to it being submerged and at the minute it is producing an annoying high pitched squeak. A perfect b flat to be precise. Although if I tilt the spray bar up and down I can get just about any note i want up to a f sharp.lol

Anyway Do you think it is pressure related if I drilled a couple of extra holes would that sort it out? Because it is really starting to give me a headache. It is one of those sounds you don't notice but after you do you can block it out.

get a cat :D lol

sorry couldn't resist

yes i think it could be pressure related, i've recently set up DIY Co2 with a ceramic diffusor (stick with me, it is relevant, honest!) and that makes an annoying squeaky chirpy noise all the time, we've sussed out that it's because of the low pressure generated from the yeast based Co2 and are changing the diffuser. soooo if it can squeak with low pressure i'm sure it can squeak with high pressure too. either drill some more holes or maybe think about not having the spray bar on at all

Thanks, i'll give drilling ago. I will probably break something though. I was so annoyed at myself when I smashed an old heater I wanted to keep as a spare.lol
