Lol it is the only option, maybe there IS no spraybar for internal canister, are there any other options to disperse air flow?
My dad DIY'd me a little bubble thingy for one of my older filters... Had a little valve and just blasted in air across the tank... I'll have to ask how he did it. But this was a pretty small tank so it probably wouldn't be nearly as effective.

Ooh, uhm... A horrendously overpowered powerhead? My Hidom did 1000l/h and damn-near blasted a hole through the bottom corner of my tank. It was aggressive.
I have an air stone... it works prettty well and certainly does not blast holes :0 any ideas for dispersing the flow? Maybe a rag will help?
