Spotted Rubber Plec

i went into my lfs today to see if they had any bristlenose plecs, they had 4 golden bristlenose but they were all reserved
however i did see the spotted rubber plec, as i had been reading up about the smaller plecs recently, i saw this one grew to 6 inches. I thought to myself this must be a spotted rubbernose, is £6.99 a rip of for these fish? he is about 2 inches big
its currently in the bag still acclimitizing and will be going into my 33gal. What should i know in more detail about these plecs? I had been spending most of my reading time on bn plecs.

does this species of plec grow fast? I now think he is more llike 1.5 icnhes big and he looks lost in my tank lol
i looked him up on planet catfish and he seems suitable for me tank

I have kept 2 different sp. of Chaetostoma and found neither to be particularly fast growing.

I take it your set up is cooler than average with a high current?
