I am new to keeping Puffers and have 5 Spotted Puffers in a tank...they are all very small at the moment but are doing really well. Its simply a tropical tank....filter, heater etc. I have added a couple of spoonfuls of Aquarium salt...and the water has been tested regularly but now Im confused because I keep reading that these fish should be in a Marine tank..???

Not a full marine tank just a brackish tank which is about half the salinity of a marine tank ranging from 1.005 to 1.020 gravity.
Look down the brackish page and you will find alot of helpful info

Hope it helps

I take it these are green spotted puffers?

Aquarium salt won't do anything to raise the salinity of the water. You need marine salt used in keeping marine tanks.

What are the statistics of your tank? :D
