I am thinking about getting a L187a Spotted Bulldog Pleco (Chaetostoma Milesi) to go in my 145 Litre tank but wouldn't sure if it would be okay with the temperature at around 25/26c as I've heard they require lower temperatures. Also I've got 3 other plecs in there that all seem quite peaceful(hypancistrus inspector, L340 mega clown & 162 clown) and I've heard a few people say that the Spotted Bulldog can be pretty territorial?
I've got a good few caves in there so fighting for space shouldn't be a problem but not sure with the other plecs being so peaceful that this could bully the others too much?

Thanks for reading and if you've ever kept 1 of these before or can offer any help then thanks

Yes, that is above their comfortable temperature range.

Your current stock is also not the best compatibility wise, the Clown has completely the opposite dietary requirements to the other two which are both Hypancistrus.

My C. milesi (that came from "MartinS" nearly three months ago) is in a 48x12x15 (140l) that has two Fluval U4 filters (i.e. close to 2000lph or ~15x water turnover per hour) firing from above the waterline side-by-side, with the temperature ~22C (which is towards the higher end of their suggested range). She used to be in my Rio240 with Ilyodon xantusi and Steatocranus casuarius, but she spent too much time chasing fish away from her area than actually finding/eating the food I added.

I usually give the clown algae wafers and sweet potatoes and give the other 2 bloodworm, brine shrimp, earthworm pellets etc. I've heard mixed reviews about the bulldog plecs temperament so that's the main concern well that and the temperature but I'm willing to drop the temperature down to around 24c if that would be okay.

You are trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

340's are warm water Hypans, so 24 is too cold for them, they are happy up around 28-30 with 26 being quoted as their minimum.

Unless you hand feed the current fish I don't see how you stop the Clown getting high protein food, they are scavengers.

Looks like the Spotted Bulldog could be out of the question then :( and I don't understand? How come I'd want to stop the clown from having high protein food?

Because it is a Panaque (assuming it is the 'right' clown)

This genus lives almost exclusively on wood and vegetable matter in the wild.
