Sponsorships?

has anyone set up sponsors for doing something? before if so how do you go about doing it?
i want to bike to lizard point, to raise money for charity's how would i go about setting it up officially?

I know in the uk virgin do a website where u can do it all officially and people can pay via the website or by phone! And I think they give u help setting the event up if needed! Not sure where in the world you are and if they do it outside the uk. Sorry not much help

I've always used just giving, not had any trouble with it, but you've already found that one.

So long as the charity themselves are already registered with JG or Virgin, it's not a problem. If it's a small charity or other non-profit organisation, you can't use them. You can set up a Paypal account specifically for it, though.
