are they any good? i have a sponge filter and nothing actuallly gets drawn to it!Before you buy, check out Huey Hung. they are my favorite.
yeah, it massive but it doesnt really work, i normally just cover the intakes of the fluval 1+. where does the airstone go exactly, becuase i might have it in the wrong place.maybe u got a dud 1...i have that 1 i think...has it got the built in airstone ?...my shrimps love it
i have the algarde 200 and its awful. cant even filter a 38L tank! it doesnt draw anything to it at all.
how would i go about doing this? have you got a pic or 2. i have a 1+ which would be ideal but the spone filter tubing is too small to fit over the 1+'s impellor. can i place the powerhead a centimeter above? or what else is possible?i have the algarde 200 and its awful. cant even filter a 38L tank! it doesnt draw anything to it at all.
Sponge filters are designed to be mainly bio filters, and are generally poor mechanical filters. Hooking a power head to the top or giving them a lot more air will increase the mechanical capabilities.
