Split Tail Fin

My Lemon Peel angel's tail fin all lof the sudden has a split in it!!!

Otherwise the fish looks healthy. All of the fish in the tank have gotten along well. Is it possible the fish got in a small fight with another or something?

Also, will the split hurt the fish and will it heal on its own?

The tail did heal on its own. Kinda weird

That happens often with my fish. My female guppy had 3 tears in her tail and dorsal fin, but they healed up naturally. I guess it's caused from small fights or nips by the tankmates. Glad to hear that the fish healed up!

I had this problem with my fish and I thought that it was the plastic plants so I changed the plants for a different type of fake plant and it has not happened sense.
