what can cause this? It has only happened recently since the two females entered into an almost non stop breeding session(with a male). i'm fairly certain that its not caused by fighting but could it just be fatigue?.

btw twice weekly 20-30% water changes (due to the increased load babies and feeding)
ammonia 0ppm
nitrite 0ppm
nitrate 30-40+

what they spawning in the male will trap the female in the cave or what ever they spawn in to show he can stay put and keep care of the babies this resulting in the female trying to escapae and more than oftern some damage to the fins is accured

other than that have you got any sharp edges are in the tank

cheers dane

no no sharp edges in there and it doesn't really look like its been caused by a struggle of any sort as its a straight spilt along the ray(i think thats what there called) of the fin
