i think that certain peoples efforts to diy it are paying off in a major way, however, i think it would be good to see more pinned topics on these subjects so that newbies (and oldies!!) have a quick reference.

things such as:
sammydee's 5 minute sponge filter
the DIY co2 recipe and equipment
smithrc's cold cathode moonlights

there are many posts all about the same thing and it gets a tad confusing

i cant be the only one with this in mind and it'll help the new TFF FAQ kick off a bit too!

anyone aggreeing please back me up or shut me up!!

Stickied articles explaining little trick ideas like you described would be great! This section could use more DIY stickies anyway....DIY tanks, lights, filters, etc. Maybe even a seperate link for all the decadent delicious DIY goodness your heart could handle! ha!
