Wish I could take some picture of her, but my boyfriend still has the digital camera. I will try to have him bring it over tonight so I can take some pics of all 12 of my new females.
Well here is the story of Spaghetti, my female plakat.
She got her name because her body is a cream/white kind of like a spaghetti noodle and her fins are red like marinara sauce and there are little speckles on her face that look like drips of sauce or meatballs!
So I woke up this morning kind of late and turned the lights on at 11. I checked the "betta christmas tree" (all of the female bettas like to lounge in this plastic plant that is kind of pointed upward so it kind of has different levels. They all pick a level and lounge there for awhile until feeding or until they get bored
So I nick-named it the betta christmas tree because they look like little ornaments on a christmas tree. ) And when I checked the tree, out comes Spaghetti. She darted towards the glass at me and started flaring like crazy! So I puffed out my cheeks at her and flared back.
Then I was watching them a few minutes ago and she just swims around the betta christmas tree taunting everyone and pissing them off. She will wiggle into one of the betta's spots and get very close to them and just annoy them until they flare her off. She then had a flare war with one of the darker females. She lost though and swam away.
She is quite the character and I love her to death. Really haven't gotten to sit down and watch the tank because I've been busy doing water changes and gravel vacs on all 8 tanks in my house.
But I think I will put my eyeballs in (my contacts) and watch them for an hour or two.
BTW all the females in my 120 gallon were adopted from wuvmybetta.
