spade tails

iv got my one st female and id really like to breed her someday with a st male but iv had no luck finding them. they are beutiful fish and i wonder why i dont here much about them at all do any of u guys own spade tails, take a look at this pic of a male i found, i want one like that so bad!!!

u can look around on aquabid, sometimes they dont list them as spade tails so u just gotta look around

That pic is almost identical to the fish I have that has pop eye

It was sold as a female but I always wondered if it was a male.I got it at Wal Mart and it's the only sick betta I ever got from them.So beautiful.....

wow at walmart? i got my female at walmart 2, but the one above looks kinda like a male plakat ill definately be getting into spadetails, their such an odd tail type. can i c a pic of urs koda?

I can try to get a pic but I'd like to wait and see if the illness clears up.I just switched from treating with Bettamax to a course of Melafix.I am desperately hoping it works.The fish is really hanging in there and seems to have some spunk,but it just looks horrible

I think it's pop eye as both eyes are badly distended.But there is also something like a whitish patch between the eyes.I'm just praying that this works.

As a side note...my wal mart has been getting some really pretty bettas

well i live in wisconsin, pretty close to michigan and i to ahve been seeing odd tail types in walmart, their not crowns or anything else iv ever seen, they look like mutated vts your fish does sound like hes got pop eye, melafix would probably be the way to go
