i always thoght my walmart female was a veiltail but i did some researcha nd it turns out shes a spade tail. the tail comes to a piont at the end instead of a curve. has anyone else heard of this at all?
I sure have heard of it...my female betta, Polaris, is a spade tail.
Unfortunately I don't have any big pictures of her (and my cameras broken so it's not like I can take anymore ) but she's in my siggy...in the second row from the left, third piccy down...the blue/pink one.
I think spade tails are pretty cool. Definitly a bit different from your average veiltail (not that I'm bashing veils here...I love my veils! )
heres a pics, she has her fins folded right now so its hard to see the point, its also a grainy image and its really really big, i shrunk it all i could sry if it messes wit ur computers
yea i like veils betta myself, iv seen males with the spade as well, its interesting. itty, my females tail it spaid like that but its nt quite as long and prominent, but yea thats a good example of one
