South/central American Shrimp?

Basically as the title says. Does anyone know if there are such things as Central/South American shrimp. Obviously were all well aware of the Asian variants of cherry, japonica, crs, bumble bee so on so forth. I want to know if theres any from the continent of the Americas. I'm curious and very much interested if anyone knows of any. A quick search on the trusty google hasnt brought anything up so far.
