Indeed SA were the better team - everyone knew that so well done SA!!!!!

To credit our team, as with other matches I was kind of expecting England to get trounced, but they didn't and the final score was credit to BOTH teams efforts.

Excellent final. Excellent world cup. Why can football be like that anymore?

Congo rats to the saffers. Was a good game and we just couldn't quite break the line (and neither could SA break ours). Once again it shows that it is defence that wins World Cups, not "flowing rugby".

I am most proud of how the English team turned their performance around. If we can carry this form into February and March we are in for a great 6 Nations.

And here's to a Southern Hemisphere 5 Nations (adding Argentina and a Pacific Nations team).

Good final, either way though "my team" won but I was gunning for SA as I felt they deserved it more due to their overall performances. England had one hell of a tournament though, vyer supprised they got so far. Next world cup will be very interesting, I think the all blacks, SA, aussies, English, the argintinians, ireland and the french will all be up for it next time. Should be good.

2011 is in New Zealand because the IRB are fools and decided against giving it to Japan where it would have created a whole new market for the game.

I would be surprised if the All Blacks win it, they just choke too often to really expect them to win. I predict it will be the usual suspects of SA, Aus, Eng and Fra most likely to win it, but there is a long time yet.

I believe the next big one is the British and Irish Lions tour in 2009. Should be to South Africa IIRC

They had no idea how to grind out a nasty win. They kept trying to score tries when 2 points behind rather than look for a drop goal.

Basically France came at them hard and they couldn't respond.
