yes! aka silver sand, the type used in sand pits for kidsger87410 said:play sand?
I have seen this mentioned many times here and as i have used the Play sand in the past and never thought to try anything else and didnt think it would make any difference anyway. Well, i tried the pool sand and IMO its great. Cleans much quicker, settles faster and doesnt cost much more either. Available at any pool supply place and a lot of hardware/DIY places. HTHTeelie said:Play Sand IMO isn't the best. The best would be Pool Filter Sand which IS meant to be submerged in water. Play Sand is not so it has a tendency to cloud a lot easier and for much longer. Pool Filter Sand is cheap though not quite as cheap as Play Sand but it makes up for it by not being nearly as messy or difficult to clean. You can find it at any place that sells pool supplies.
