I'm bored and reading French fish forums in language lab at school... they call bettas "Combattants", how appropriate

5 bacs de 2 à 5 litres avec des Combattants adultes isolés

Anybody know the word for betta in other languages?

I'm taking French and am supposed to be studing it in lab... this counts, right?

When my dad and I talk (we're viet) ~ we just call them fish in viet. We sometimes put an adj in front like fighting fish - but no special name.
