One of my Silver Dollar's has a strange upper lip. It looks as though part of it's upper lip is missing. It's pink in colour, although, it's a 'healthy pink' colour. It doesn't appear to have any fungus on and and the fish doesn't seem at all bothered. What should I do?

I wouldn't worry too much about it!

Do you have any rocks that may be a little sharp??

When I got my first two SDs, before I realized how skiddish they were, I had a few large somewhat jaggid rocks in my 55. One of my Silvers freaked out and scratched his nose on one of the rocks and skinned it clean off. It was actually bleeding, but all is okay. It then turned a fleshy pink color and then slowly healed. I just did regular water changes and regular conditioning. Of course, water conditioning usually can be doubled for scale and healing benefits. Does your bottle say:

1 capful per 10 gallons to rid water of chlorine

or

2 capfulls per 10 gallon to rid chl. and promote healthy slime coat and healing

Yours may not say the EXACT same thing, but I ALWAYS add the 2 capfulls per 10 gallons.

Good luck and I'm sure all will be fine! ;)
