from my Rio240 to the Korrall60, which was amazingly easy with two nets. These adults have not looked happy for the last week, since I added the Barilius canarensis & bakeri, losing all their normal glorius blue sheen. One of the adults has a red mark by her pelvic fin, which could be perhaps a nasty nip from one of these newcomers. I need to keep an eye on this just in case its an internal parasite breaking through.

So they are now in a small 54l, 2 foot long tank

But it has ~2500 l/hr of water turnover (Juwel 280 in Bio Compact filter; Fluval U4 filter; Koralia 1 powerhead), loads of current to give them exercise, mainly for the Indian Red Tail Squirrel Loaches

They are away from the territorially aggressive Opsarius dominant male; the 4 Barilius canarensis youngsters; 3 Barilius bakeri; 4 Steatocranus casuarius (althought the new three are very easy going, unlike the original dominant male who I always thought was a female until I introduced the others)

They get to meet the Indian Red Tail Squirrel Loaches, highly recommnded as an alternative bottom dweller, love mine!

They get to finally meet their offspring, six born within two weeks of me buying the adults (so ~3 months old), the other one is about a month old now!

Results after an hour: A very happy family reunion and lots of colour back!

Success storys are always good to hear, however small :) glad your fish are happy again. Having more than one tank on the go is always a massive help. I'm looking at getting a 3rd tank soon.

Glad that they have their colour back, but even though the tank is heavily overfiltered, this should be a temporary solution. Barbs need swimming space and won't get that a lot in this tiny tank. I kept mine in a 1 metre long tank and felt it was just enough for these fast swimmers.

Well I have a 5x2x2 tank in the garage, ex-property of a certain "Nelly" on here, would sold it to someone who sold it to me, in the space of four days!

I was hoping to simply keep it in storage until we move to somewhere on the ground floor, but I may well be forced to set it up down there, freeing up the Rio240 for a load of "micro fish" (less than 5cm long as adults such as Forktail Blue-Eye Rainbows; Hengels Rasbora; Sawbwa Barb; Filament Glassfish(?); Clown Killifish etc.) plus the Pearl Danios...
