I knew I spoke to soon when I said in the Nebie section I hadn't had too many problems!!!

I have an xray fish (Pristella maxillaris) that has developed 'something' internal and seems to be breaking out. This mass sits just on the backbone in the area under the small second dorsal fin. There is a small amount attached to the fish that is coming out from the left side. This exposed part is white and thread-like.
The fish seems to be okay at the moment, swimming and eating okay. My other xray and other fish show no signs of any illness.

This doesn't seem to fit any of the 'common' problems - any suggestions?

Okay the exposed part is no longer thread-like - more of a white 'blob' on the skin surface. The mass inside the fish, along the top of the backbone appears as if it might have got a little bit bigger (spreading along the backbone).
Fish is still swimming and eating.
Can I post pictures here? I might try and get a shot on the digital...?

I think a picture would really help. You'll need the picture allready uploaded on the web, If you can't upload it to the net, send it to me and I'll post it for you.
If you can do it. Post a reply in the edit window of your reply theres a list of buttons "B" for bold I for Italic etc. The one second from right is to disply images. Click on it then enter the url of the picture and it will be automaticly shown in your post.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while been offline for a bit.

Anyway, I'm having problems getting a decent picture of the xray fish and the white growth now seems to be shrinking! There isn't much of a mark left externally and it appears to have shrunk inside as well!!
