Hey,
I have a bristle star fish in my tank along with another white little star fish that hitch hiked. My bristle finally came out from under his rock and to my surprise, he was just the star part. His arms were off and everything. He's stil alive but can barley move around. Samething with that little white one. I could have sworn i saw my lawnmower blenny picking at the bristle a while ago. I have a scooter blenny and some hermit crabsas well as some other fish that i doubt would eat them. Any one ever had this happen before?

I've heard stranger things... Something's definitely predating on the poor guys, what's your other fish list?

My other fish are an electirc blue damsel and a gold-banded maroon clown, i also have a cleaner shrimp a blue legged hermit crab and some non-agressive soft corals.

I'd put my $$ on the maroon clown. Those things can get territorial enough to nip anything that moves near their house...

ok. as long as its not some disease. My clown really doesn't seem to bother anything in the tank. But maybe..

sounds like bacterial infection. We call it "stress melt" around here. This often happens right after acclimation. If you are lucky new arms will grow out of the body.

damsels eat stars and hermits can ripp legs off theyre known to
